At DCC Propane, we are committed to offering cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions to meet your transportation needs. One of the most exciting advancements in this area is the adoption of Renewable Diesel, a fuel designed to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of your fleet without sacrificing performance.
WHAT IS RENEWABLE DIESEL?
Unlike traditional fossil diesel, renewable diesel is made from renewable resources, such as used cooking oils, animal fats, and other waste products. It is not the same as biodiesel; rather, renewable diesel is chemically identical to fossil diesel but much better for the environment. The end result is a fuel that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 75% over its life cycle*, making it a vital part of reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.

Our renewable diesel is produced from
sustainable resources, which reduces the release of new carbon into the atmosphere. By choosing renewable diesel, you are taking an important step toward a more sustainable energy future.
Not only does renewable diesel reduce carbon emissions, but it also results in lower levels of fine particles (33%), nitrogen oxides (9%), hydrocarbons (30%), and carbon monoxide (24%)*. This helps to improve air quality, making it a cleaner alternative to traditional diesel fuels.
Switching to renewable diesel is as easy as refueling. It’s a drop-in fuel, meaning it is fully compatible with your existing fuel storage and transportation infrastructure. You won’t need to make any modifications to your vehicles or fuel storage systems, saving time and money in the transition.
With a high cetane number (over 70), renewable diesel ensures efficient combustion, resulting in powerful performance. It’s also
suitable for extreme weather conditions, with a cold weather performance rating down to -4°F for winter grades. Whether it’s hot or cold, renewable diesel is designed to deliver the same level of power and reliability you’ve come to expect from traditional fuels.
Our renewable diesel is cleaner, which can lead to lower maintenance costs for your fleet. Unlike other alternative fuels, it doesn’t contain sulfur or oxygen, reducing wear and tear on your engine and fuel system. This results in fewer maintenance needs and potentially lower operating costs over time.
Fleet operators (trucking, delivery services, public transit) are significant users of renewable diesel, helping to reduce emissions in both on-road and off-road applications.
Construction companies use renewable diesel in machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes, reducing their environmental footprint on job sites.
Farms use renewable diesel in tractors, harvesters, and other agricultural equipment to support more sustainable farming practices.
Boats and ships, particularly in regions with stringent emissions regulations, use renewable diesel to limit their environmental impact.
We offer you reliable propane to ensure your business runs safely and efficiently. Check out propane’s greatest benefits here:
Propane is widely recognized as the cleanest traditional fuel on the market. It releases fewer carbon emissions and produces lower levels of harmful pollutants than conventional fuels.
Propane is a safe commercial fuel, meaning your people can work confidently in a secure environment. Propane doesn’t spill, leak, or leave residue, and has lower flammability than other fuels.
America is a leading producer of propane, which means there is consistently enough fuel to meet demand, and it is widely available across the country.
No matter the sector you’re in, propane’s versatility makes it the perfect fuel to keep your company going. From heating and cooking to electricity generation, propane can do it all!
Compared to more conventional fuels, propane is a more cost-efficient, budget-friendly option. This way, you can spare your hard-earned dollars while operating more efficiently.
